Behind the scenes updates! – Mid-September 2022

SEPTEMBER 2022

Behind the scenes updates! – Mid-September 2022

Here are *some* of the new and double-checked updates we’ve made in the past few weeks. We are up to 56,577 entires!

NEW TO BARNIVORE!

Fermenterarna Brewery (Sweden) is all vegan friendly except for 2 that contain lactose.

Just the Tipsy (USA) has an… interesting bottle shape, fitting of its name. They use vegan finnings themselves, but since they share equipment that products that don’t, they have opted to be listed as non vegan-friendly.

Slow Lane Brewing (Australia) ‘s beers produced to date are all vegan-friendly!

Landmade Brewing (USA) is all vegan-friendly as well.

Pig Pounder (USA) by no stretch of imagination is not vegan friendly.

Krang Spirits  (Canada) has 7 different liquors, all of which are vegan except for the one with honey.

Tartarus Beers (England) have their beer’s vegan-osity marked on their website and is mentioned in their FAQ page too.

COMPANIES SWITCHING TO VEGAN-PROCESSES!

Andrew Peace Wines (Australia) has made a video about switching to be always vegan-friendly!

Sawmill Brewery (New Zealand) emailed us to let us all know they are now all vegan-friendly, except for their chocolate stout.

Cross Borders (Scotland) are now both cask and keg vegan-friendly!

DOUBLE CHECKS

Jules Taylor Wines is all vegan friendly except for the Pinot Noirs. They wrote “However she (Jules herself) regularly trials vegan alternatives in the hopes of finding a 100% vegan substitute that achieves the same effect. Fingers crossed!”

Famille Perrin’s (France) wines are still not vegan-friendly.

On the Rocks Premium Cocktails (OTR) (USA) used to be listed as vegan-friendly, but they have been acquisitioned by Beam Suntory in 2020. They are not saying that since they are not “certified vegan-friendly” that they’d rather be listed as not vegan-friendly :/

Kind of Wild Wines (USA but global portfolio) reached out to us to update their page with MORE vegan wines.

Blue Moon Brewing co(UK) is still not vegan-friendly.

REACHING OUT

Although 95% of our submissions come from the Barnivore Community… we look at our “failed search” log and have reached out to 19  non-listed companies since the last update.

Comments

That’s cool (and smart) that you look at the “Yikes” searches to add new companies 🤣. Great work!
