This is the third part of the Blythe Plushie Arc, (Part 1, Part 2)
This is probably the fastest I've made a full comic script, sketch, and finished panels. I had to rush because I didn't really have a lot of time to work on this but wanted to get this out by this afternoon, since I'll be busy for pretty much the rest of the campaign and not able to draw.
Although it was incredibly rushed and unpolished, I still like the comic. I think the way the story advanced was funny, there was actual character development, and I think the overall compositions for the panels are more interesting than they normally are. The weakness for this particular comic is that it's not really as self-contained as my comics usually are, so you kind of need to know the characters and the context of the previous comics to fully appreciate it (which has implications for accessibility and reach).
Also, yes, the first panel is a reference to Nichijou.
I think if I break away from the 4-panel format and start doing full pages with actual paneling, I could level up my sequential art skillz a bit. I'll probably try that for future comics.
I will try to make one last artwork at least for the campaign, since I should be free again the day before the campaign ends, for one last push. After that I'm never doing plushie campaigns again. (Although, they did force me to make the most interesting (and only) story arcs in the Endless Monday series, so...)
Long time fans might have noticed the shirt Skye is wearing has made an appearance before (here's the relevant post from roughly three billion years ago if you're curious). A lot of people have already asked, but I probably won't make it merch because it's from a quote (and screenshot) lifted directly from World of Warcraft.
Anyway, thank you for your support!!
