Friday Rambles 7/15/2022

Another week, another Saturday Friday Rambles.

My shop is having a sale! I published it on my socials and now I will be spending an entire day packing orders. Maybe I should start doing more digital download stuff instead. Line/Discord stickers, wallpaper packs and such...

This week wasn't super productive. I drew two Tiger-chans. I played a lot of video games. Fall Guys and Cities Skylines. I also started replaying Ace Attorney Trilogy (I haven't played since they were on the DS, so the remastered version is new to me...)

The painting I did of the second Tiger-chan was fun, though, so I want to do more in that vein. I want to draw more of my usual characters, but quitting my job has been devastating for the core reason Endless Monday even exists (ie. work related venting), so I'm fairly uninspired in that regard. I might need to explore new settings, like an alternate universe. Or just draw more fanart.

I'm dipping my toes back into web-dev, which I was completely burned out on, but I'm trying to see if I'm feeling ok to do my own personal stuff now. 

Media I consumed:

• Saw Thor. It was mediocre even by Marvel standards.
• Read the new Chainsaw Man chapter. Pretty excited to see where things go. Didn't draw the new girl.
• I beat my XCOM 2 campaign and vowed never to play again. Not because it's a bad game, but because I am physically unable to play this game in moderation. It's just like with Civilization. I think my actual weakness is turn-based strategy games.
• I played some DJMAX, to try out all the DLC I got during the Steam Summer Sale. Good stuff, but luckily I'm not really able to play this game for long spurts.
• Cities Skylines, also to try out all the DLC I got during a Humble Bundle thing. There's so much extra stuff now that I'm kinda overwhelmed by it. I'm just playing it SimCity 2000 style for now.
• Fall Guys, to try out the new season. It looks like they added a bunch of real-money-currency and now I can't get certain skins without paying real money. Dumb. Sucks. Anyway I played a bunch and won a bunch of crowns.
• Ace Attorney Trilogy, because idk

I don't think I'm used my time very wisely this week. I think my schedule is all broken because I've been waking up later (instead of waking up at like 5-6 am no matter what because my brain starts racing for no reason, for the past 3-4 months), so my morning routine's all shifted. I think my sabbatical is working, though, because I'm no longer feeling all this anxiety and overthinking anymore. I guess what matters is that I'm still exercising every day and making at least some progress on my personal projects.

Anyway, I think next week will be a good week for art. (If not actual posts, at least progress on gitting good). I'll be doing painting again for the time being. Thanks for your support, as always!
