The zine I've been working on for the past 2 weeks was released earlier today! It's available as a free digital download or a real life physical thing.
I actually did not expect the number of people actually buying the real life physical thing. I love my readers. I'm radiating with love. I also got some very nice emails already from readers to my zine email inbox. I'll be replying to those soon.
With this encouragement, I will be happily folding zines all week, and then drawing out the next issue. I'll probably be doing more completed illustrations since I have some time before October gets here. Of course, I'll post them in advance here.
As you can see from the example cover above, my home printer had some trouble with the dark parts of the cover illustration. I might be ok with the general toner banding since it has the DIY zine aesthetic, but it was flaking off too! Leaving ugly splotches. Also, the card stock for the cover was making my printer groan in a concerning way, and the text on the interior pages were kind of faded too. So I went to the local print shop to use their printers and the results look awesome. No banding, super high contrast. But also way more expensive, and possibly not DIY looking enough lol. Well, I still think it's worth it.

Anyway I learned a lot about how to use the printer machines at the print shop today. Dang I'm already really excited to do the next issue.
Okay that's it for now, thank you as always for your support!
