At the very last second, the few remaining soldiers aboard the ship managed to escape. From the safety of their cockpits, the Federation troopers watched as the space station began to shudder from something growing inside of it. As cracks began to form along the metal hull, splotches of blue could be seen peeking out to remind the crew of the one person who had been forced to stay behind.
The space station was torn asunder as a massive, blue blob forced itself through the metal. No longer contained by the restraints of the craft, the mass was able to continue expanding outwards to better facilitate its drooping gut and enormous rear. In their attempts to outrun the encroaching tons of blubber, the soldiers managed to catch glimpses of the comparatively small hands and feet that were swallowed up by it. The few that managed to fly by the peak of the planet-sized orb’s head managed to see the golden color of a very familiar blonde ponytail.
Face partially blocked by the immense amount of blubber around her face, Samus couldn’t do much as she watched the ships fly by. None of this made sense to her, in terms of her new size, her suit’s ability to keep up with her body’s extreme growth, and the fact that she was somehow able to breathe in the vacuum of space. Watching fragments of the station fly by, she thought back to the tiny needle that was supposed to fill her with intense power. Considering how a few of the ships seemed to be drawn in by the gravitational pull of her gigantic body, she had to concede that the experiment had been a partial success.
