It's so cute to see Namjoon's maknae side came out with Jin specially bc you know, Hobi is his 94 friend and he has always lived with Yoongi for so many years so they have a similar relationship. I'm not saying Jin is not a friend like Hobi or Yoongi are, but that his relationship with him feels different, he's not part of the rapline so he has a lot of different experiences with him yet similar like struggling with dance practiced and stuff. Namjin feels more like the caring type where Jin takes care of him a lot and give him a lot of advices and both are assuring themselves constantly! Many people really forget Namjoon is the middle child in BTS just becase he's the leader. They have mention a couple of times how both mindsets would be the perfect mix!

Even korean army are surprised at how chill Jin is and how much he either lets slide or even doesn’t take offense to as the oldest. There are some things that would be culturally VERY understandable for him to get annoyed at that the members do (all in good fun) but they do it because they know Jin’s boundaries and when to stop messing with him! But basically it would be culturally very understandable and sometimes even appropriate for him to boss the others around a lot more than he does. He said in an interview once that the others are all so skilled at what they do and are so good that he doesn’t really feel like he has the “right” to scold them or “manage” them. Paraphrasing obviously here! But he joked and said if they weren’t so good at what they do and if he was better than them he would tell them off lol, but he never has felt like that. He jokes a lot but there might be some truth to it, but i also think he is just a very kind chill person who wants everyone to be comfortable. Hierarchy and strict rules can give some comfort in group settings as well, knowing what social rules there are and sticking to them can make it easier to get along in a lot of ways. But it can also create some natural distance between people, like an older member and a younger member. The younger member knows to not speak over the older one, even when they might have something valuable to add to the conversation. This can make younger people feel unseen and underappreciated, and the older might feel like the younger isn’t really saying what they really mean and wonder if they really might have a lot of unsaid built up anger inside etc. So, distance. But also comfort. Jk did say that he always speaks formally to anyone older than him, even when Taetae said he wanted him to lower his speech level and speak in the same casual manner that Tae and Jimin speak to eachother in. But Jk finds comfort in keeping to formal speech because he knows where to draw the line and not overstep, and that they might have fought a lot more if he spoke casually to them. While Tae thought they would hang out more comfortably if he did lower his speech level, so there are pros and cons to both and depends so much on each individual relationship in a group. But what we know is that Jin makes it very comfortable for everyone and makes it so that everyone can speak to him in a manner that they feel comfortable with, and that any respect that the members show through speech isnt forced, it is earned and a choice of the individual member. Of course they all do speak respectfully to him but there are a lot of different levels of formal and respectful speech in korean, so they all keep a basic level of always calling him Hyung and a casual but respectful speech level, and sometimes more formally if they choose. To simplify you can say korean has Formal vs informal AND respectful vs casual. The members always speak respectfully but shift from formal to informal depending on the setting. You would never speak informally to Jin in front of their boss for example because even if you have that close relationship with Jin it would be disrespectful to their boss to speak informally infront of him, even if you are talking to just Jin. ANYWAYS thank you for coming to my ted talk im sorry for this insanely long infodump What i am trying to say it Jin is the best hyung and then extra info about korean speech levels in a very amateur and oversimplified yet overly complicated way of explaining it.

I also love that when they're together they're total nonsense partners. They just make each other laugh about stupid things like puns and slapstick stuff that they appreciate on a level the other members don't. I love that they both look up to each other so obviously but in different spaces and ways. Idk...it's just such a lovely, comforting, wholesome dynamic. Plus, I'm not a shipper or anything but they are like the hottest power couple ever. They're both so tall and broad and handsome...oof. They're so gorgeous together.

For real though, each duo in BTS has such a different dynamic, and it's really nice to see how they all love and support each other in slightly different ways Namjoon can inspire deep conversations with the other members, while Jin is usually more goofy and lighthearted - the contrast is really interesting 🤗 I love them

And, just like Namjoon said in his previous live 'let's just focus of us, BTS and ARMY' not the outside noises 🥰. I grew up watching Dragonball so you KNOW, I knew how to pronounce your name Peachy 😏🫶💜🤭. At work, I'm always the happy positive one and my coworkers feed off it. Also, I SAW MY HUSBAND TODAY 😭😭😭😭😭
