Drawing for Fun - Guyver pt.1 - video

Well, I decided I'd get a bit more into just enjoying myself drawing around and just working up some new one off pieces that aren't necessarily giant multi-character paintings. This is my entire process from sketch to my start in laying down a watercolor type pass over top my line work. In order to make the best use of my time in this video and just show you my entire sketching/line process I didn't talk a whole lot, I know for some of you that will make this incredibly boring to watch, but I know I always enjoyed seeing the complete process for images when I was watching videos from artists.

Also, here's a little render pass I did as a test to see how it'd look painted from this step. I'm so incredibly happy with how these results look, feels more real than my previous works, at least as far as the traditional look goes. I can't wait to do more on this.

2020-07-15 19:10:27 +0000 UTCThis is super cool man... i think alot of people see like Kim Jung Gi or any speed painting video and think that it just flows out like turning the faucet on... but theres so much exploration and checking to see if shits right.... i think this way makes the most sense... u lay out a map and then lay cool ass details out on that map, but you make sure the map is tight first. A handy trick a lot of people don't know about is that you can hold a hotkey for a tool, use it, then when you release the hotkey it will automatically switch back to the original tool you were using. This works in Photoshop as well, so you can hold E to use the eraser tool then when you release, it will switch back to your brush tool.
