Magic the Gathering style sketch - PSD w/layers

So, as we move forward doing tutorial type work and all that, I wanted to show my approach of how I go about my Magic the Gathering style illustrations. This here was just a test to see how I may want to go about sharing the process in a video but I think it'll be fun to walk you all through how I use this approach for spooky fantasy.
This is basically a ping pong back and forth between Photoshop and Clip Studio. I included 2 PSD's on this post, most of part 1 was done in Photoshop(except for the wash over top the sketch). The refinement and painting in part 2 was all done in Clip Studio using the watercolor brush I shared on here(you can grab it from the Venom post).
I'm excited to show you how I usually do these from start to finish, it'll be fun to get into some heavy wizard & monster shit for a change.
