Hey!
Hope you've been well! I've been hammering away at this over the past few days to try and get this close to a finished render, still have the background planet to render up and the clouds/sky, but it's well on it's way. Once I clear through what's left of the character it'll wrap up quickly.
In these videos I walk you through my rendering process in Clip Studio as we move into the final stages of the painting. Most of what we're trying to keep in mind when rendering is the volumes of the forms and how they interact not only with the light source itself but how all of the objects/surfaces bounce that light around onto other areas of the painting.

2020-09-16 10:06:36 +0000 UTCYeah, I don't stay zoomed in but not because I'm already looking at a huge image on the screen, in general I stay zoomed out, even in tiny details, I'd say I use about a 1/3 of my screen for painting

2020-09-16 04:09:56 +0000 UTCHey Dave how big is this guy on your monitor? I know that you have one of those big-ass Cintiqs, but it must be huge for you to be able to work in tiny details without being zoomed in really close.
