Hey!
Well, I worked these up last night, nothing too crazy, just some sketches I put together after working a bit. The PSD attached to this post has all the layer intact so that you can look through and see how I did each step of the process from line to final pencil render.
Here's the general order I go through for these(this was all done in Clip Studio btw) -
- loose sketch
-tight drawing(set to multiply on new layer)
- duplicate drawing layer and blur the lines, bring layer opacity down to 30-40%(makes things feel more natural)
- fill layer of color for the character beneath the line layers
-work in colors using the watercolor brush in a clipping mask layer(linked to fill layer)
- drawing highlights and other color sketching lines with my pencil brush overtop the final drawing and color layers
and that's it! I'll likely do some drawing videos soon so you can see this process in real time, but we'll finish up the Magic style illustration, Mega Man and Asuka first!
My brushes for Clip are attached to this post as well as the PSD, hope this look into the process helps!
btw - this PSD is at the actual size I drew this at, it's pretty small :)
