Magic Style Illustration Final + video part 6

Part 6 - YouTube - Download

Hey!

I've wrapped up the final illustration, but this video is not the final of the tutorial series, there will be a part 7 I'll be posting hopefully tomorrow!

In part 6 I cover lots of tiny rendering detail, this is most of the stringy skin bits attaching to the ribs and the guts, also we get into the small ornamental brass pieces.

This piece came together pretty much how I imagined it which is a great feeling, I really couldn't ask for too much more, I'm happy! I hope that this series has been helpful for you, my approach for Magic the Gathering doesn't stray much from this approach, just varying degrees of detail for the most part.

I'm gonna have the final Mega Man Legends piece up in a couple days, but I'll have more stuff to share tomorrow as well. At the moment I'm doing the final lines for Asuka and am looking to record more of my comic style line work videos too.

Thank you all so much for your support on this, it's been great to just do my own style and approach to an original fantasy piece. Looking forward to doing more!

Dave

PS - I'll have the final PSD available for this one on the final video update :)

Super happy with this series, really awesome to have the inside scoop. Appreciate all the work you do!

I really appreciate your commitment to the discipline of artistic growth. Not many artists would be willing to murder people and bring home the bodies for the sake of studying anatomy, or the rendering of intestines. This is what really sets you apart and takes you to the next artistic level. Don't worry about society, DaVinci wasn't understood either when he paid people to deliver him bodies for his anatomy studies. Looking forward to the next one!
