Asuka - lines complete!

Hey!

I wanted to share with you the current progress on the Asuka Langley - Evangelion piece I've been working up. For this one I really tried to get across the true look of the final piece in the lines rather than doing a lot of that work in the final painting(discovering the face style for instance - like I did in the Rei & Shinji pieces). So far I'm feeling pretty confident that this will have a pretty clear and strong execution when I move into the painting phase. I'm not entirely sure if this very literal approach to drawing everything I'll be painting in such detail is necessary, but I did want to try and see how it impacted the rest of the process.

In case you didn't see the previous post of the Asuka thumbnail, I've included it below so you can see where these lines are currently headed -

Hopefully this one comes together as the strongest of the series so far, I'm crossing my fingers that it will.

I also recorded a video of me drawing the lines for some of the trees as well as the Mass Production Evangelions on either side of Asuka. I'll be sharing that video soon! Feel free to download the lines attached to this post in order to get a closer look at the detail.
