Iron Man - Knullified - video process w/commentary

Watch the video here!

Hey!

I hope you're all doing well! Today I wanted to share with you the process of my Iron Man cover for marvel comics. In this approach I tried something a little bit different where I used mostly Photoshop while relying on clip studio for some rendering and the drawing itself. This approach is a step in the direction that I've taken with the Castlevania piece I posted earlier.

The reason I relied more on Photoshop for this one in specific was because I wanted to get a bit more texture throughout the final painting rather than the smoothness that I get from using clip studio.

The final result wasn't my favorite thing I've ever done, but I felt that it was a good learning experience which has led to what I'm doing now.

I hope that this video is helpful and that you're able to get something out of my experimentation throughout the process.

I'll be sharing another process video of the Vampire Hunter D piece that I did not too long ago where I tried out a more textural approach in the next few days!

Overall, I'm fairly confident that this will lead to a pretty cool new evolution of my style. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for!

Thanks as always for your support!

Hey, dave! First time commenting and also a new patron! Big fan of your stuff, so been studying every video you got on here intensely, these last few days. Quick question, which you most likely hear ALL the time: The pencil brush at the beginning here. Is that one from the Dry Media set?

Ric Bülow

Hey Dave, is it possible to get a drop of your brush you used here for your painting near in the end in Photoshop.

John Crossland

"This looks like a* Korn album cover or something" lmao dude no it doesn't! Dude by that logic you must hate frazetta, all his stuff was bad ass

James Ghormley
