Hope you're good! Here's the next project - Super Metroid - one of my favorite games ever. I've been trying to find an approach that uses a bit more realistic lighting for this one, here's the test I did for a style - this isn't emblematic of the final, this is just a 20 minute thing to see how a potential workflow would go -

Through this I found a really simple way of establishing and working through my lighting and forms. For what I have in mind for this Super Metroid illustration I think things should end up looking a bit more realistic. I'm gonna be aiming for a realistic oil look, we'll see how that turns out!
Anyway, I've always wanted to create something for this property, so I'm super excited to pull this one together. Some of the placement of the bosses may change on the bottom as I go, they're more or less roughed in so I have a general idea of how they'll all fit together. I'll share some process as to how this all comes together using the new approach. Should be smooth, crossing my fingers at least!
