Hey!
Here's the latest video tutorial, in this I walk you through the very basics of how I used this approach to create paintings like the Super Metroid piece. I also included the brushes attached to this post so that you can follow along if you like. This is a relatively simple approach and just takes some practice to get the hang of, but once you got it down it's a very quick process as far as bringing your illustrations together.

I dunno if you'll be covering anything on the Castlevania piece you did, but any thoughts or perspectives you had going into it would be really cool to hear sometime!

2021-01-14 00:29:15 +0000 UTCNot sure what ipad you have, but if it's a pro I'd get procreate - most all of these tutorials on here will work similarly in procreate. That being said, maybe try one of Wacom's entry level cintiq type tablets if you also have a laptop to attach it to.

In the new version of photoshop you can go to View -> Flip Horizontal which will flip the viewport instead of flipping the actual image. I find this better especially for bigger files/pieces because it doesn't get bogged down like it would flipping the old way! 😉
