Comic project start - StarVeil short story

Hope you're well! Here's something I've been meaning to do since 2018, this is the start(well, this is the 2nd page) of a short story I wrote/designed/thumbnailed and never got around to finishing. Back then I had some hesitancy about what brush and style I'd use for the final comic - but now I feel like I'm more than ready to knock it out and finish it. This story is around 20 pages so it should be pretty manageable. I wanted to get the ball rolling again on all of the unfinished projects I have already(basically) completed aside from the actual artwork.
The first page I started tonight, really only got that first panel done - and I don't usually do this, but I wanted to see how the final of the comic might look before I went ahead and inked everything - I'm really happy with the look so far! The last two images are old concept art I did of the characters back in 2018.

I don't really recall what that was - I generally don't do environments on their own, but if it was around 2018 that's probably when I started trying that style - a lot of those older pages I did for tests on this project turned out way too ugly though, I needed to find a better inking brush like I have here
