whoa, I love that it's a full-on value layer! I always just go with blocking in shadows rather than doing something that looks like a real underpainting (even though that's not how it gets used) Thank you for sharing this! I want to try it out now, hahaha Such a cool picture too. Can't wait to see it when it's all grown up.
