Forest Man Process - video

Hey!

Watch the video here!

before I get into it, we'll be having a live stream tomorrow night at 9pm MST, 3am GMT, I'll post up the video link tomorrow!

Hope you're well! This video covers the basic process of the Forest man painting I was playing with to more or less nail down an approach to the "ping pong" I've been doing recently between Photoshop and Clip Studio. I'll be going into more detail on this, but for now, I hope that this is helpful! A lot of this video is a discussion around trying to figure and wrap your mind around what you want to do with your work and when to lean into your strengths. So far, I'm pretty happy with the look of this style - it's just another step in the process I started with the Owl painting process I posted previously.

Thanks as always for your support!

Dave

I always thought it may be an OCD. I had the tendency to use one brush and was obsessed with staying in one program. I remember bouncing between programs alot cause id be like "photoshop has this, so Ill switch" then a week later "fuck photoshop, ill just do it in clip". It was like that for awhile. Didnt seem healthy. So I made myself stick in Clip. Also made myself use more brushes and try to be more dynamic. Id get this checked with a therapist honestly. I could never stick with doing part of a peice in photoshop and clip together. I just prefer doing it all in one program. The sooner you accept thats what you want. The sooner you will learn to deal with a programs shortcomings. No point fighting it.

Thank you so much! In terms of switch to photoshop to use the brushes, I think you can import .abr to clip studio now. Do they not work the same?
