Hey!
Hope you're well! Today's video tutorial covers my digital pencil approach to rendering value and quickly applying color in order to take a black and white "pencil" drawing and turn them into a color pencil style render that can then go in a variety of directions depending on your approach. The beginning of the video is a very rough breakdown of the initial steps followed by the full approach.

This style is applicable for something along the lines of a Drew Struzan style illustration, Brian Froud style, or really any of the more traditional pencil base approaches that you're familiar with.

There is another video upcoming that will show a similar approach but with an oil feel - rendering values using more textured brushes initially rather than pencil and quickly jumping into applying colors to those rendered values for an easy finish look. Here's the render for that style -

I hope this was helpful for you! Please let me know if you have any further questions, happy to clarify!
Thanks as always for your support!
