Serpentor - process & interior packaging art

Today I wanted to share with you some process behind the Serpentor box art I created for Hasbro Pulse! This one was a lot of fun to work on, honestly one of my favorite jobs ever in terms of the freedom and execution, I was given a ton of funny/cool reference from oldschool G.I. Joe comics as well as tons of stills from the show. The artwork here was meant to follow the Dr. Mindbender artwork I created some time back for my first Hasbro Pulse figure illustration. They share a similar composition but differ in that this one was much wider - this box has Serpentor's Glider as well as the figure.
So, because I was given free reign over so much of the packaging design, I was able to keep all the elements of the box cohesive - the interior lab shot matched the lab door with the Cobra labs symbol - all with more textured brush strokes and whatnot to make it feel more hand done rather than graphic design. Also, shout out to Cecil for taking what I did on the interior lab and using bits and pieces to make the top/bottom/sides of the packaging.
This is a pretty rare opportunity for me so I really tried my best to knock it out. Super happy with the result - I haven't seen the boxes in person yet, but I can't wait to check it out! If you have any questions about the work done or process feel free to leave them below!
