Mike Shinoda "Post Traumatic" Full Album Reaction

Ashamed to say I never listened to this.

I talk a lot about the reasons why in this video, so glad I finally did though!

So many surprises! I need to hear the rest before FROM ZERO!

Mike Shinoda "Post Traumatic" Full Album Reaction

Comments

since you were saying multiple times that this could or should have been a linkin park album...one of the main reasons it isn't is that Mike felt lost and that everything was out of control for him, so he wanted something were he could simply make all the desicions without having to worry about anyone else's opinion, because that would have been too much for him to deal with at the time

This still remains the only album I've cried to with an exception for Korn's Daddy. This album is Mike's soul on display, everything he felt, being torn apart and recomposing himself for his fans, I think this album is one of the greatest because it is just heart and soul from start to finish.

Really appreciate this reaction, I decided to wait until the album released and subscribe to watch them all in one run. You getting emotional and also speaking thoughts while being chill all at once is so representative of the ride lol

One of the reasons I bought patreon was to see this reaction. I came right here after hearing the new album. I was obsessed with this album for years. Listening it to it almost daily. I also started my family this year but was so torn up by Chesters passing. I had planned to see them 10 days after he passed (was as special show with Blink 182 that they were only going to do 2 of). I ended up running the Pennsylvania memorial for him even though I live in Maryland as I wanted to go up there and celebrate his life with the other LP fans. Its crazy I now also have more kids then I did when this came out. Seeing your reaction brings it all back to me. I am so happy to see Mike in a good place now. I have a huge regret for not seeing this Post Traumatic Tour but I had to work (begged for the night off but I couldn't get it as its one of the 2 big events of the year for where I work) the night that it was playing 10 min from my house. Was great reliving it with you though. Wonderful reaction.

You had a ton of questions about Crossing a line, from my understanding it was all about moving on from LP to his solo stuff and the people saying he doesn’t care anymore, was just anyone saying that he obviously doesn’t care about LP or Chester because they think he moved on to his solo stuff to quickly. This is my favourite album of all time came at a very important time for me and was exactly what i needed. Not sure if i get the whole “this is a Linkin Park album” this feels way to personal to Mike to be a Linkin Park album for me. I think that he fully had to distance himself from that and saying its a LP album sorta takes away from the whole idea of the album for me. There’s also the fact that the only Brad and Rob helped each only on one song each and not the same one even i think. I get that it sounds similar to Linkin Park but almost all the lyrics are all about moving on from that.

I love mikes solo album. another thing mike did is on the one year anniversary of his solo album he uploaded a rough version of the music video for crossing a line filmed all by himself. it also features an early version of the song as well

I appreciate you watching this album. As a fellow OG LP fan this album hit me hard, because as much as we all love and miss Chester, I had to be reminded that Linkin Park was Mike's dream that started with his friend Mark, then Brad and Rob etc. So when Chester died Mike felt everything he dreamed of and worked for also died. So one stage of grief is anger and the 1st few tracks were all about anger.

Greetings from Munich! I am super excited to see Sleep Token and Linkin Park live on November 3rd in Paris at the same show - what a gig! Came here supporting you getting caught up checking out Mikes excellent Post Traumatic album. I've seen him live performing this and this was the most healing experience, not only for Mike, but also the whole crowd! Make sure to watch the excellent live-mashup of his tour of About you/Over Again/Papercut, like f.e. here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wdv69IqIq7A . All the best to you and keep up the great work/content. Martin

Thank you so much Affan! I will be listening to Miles other music before FROM ZERO and any other demos I have missed!

This is my first Patreon subscription in the app and I really enjoy your reaction and review in this video. Please do more Linkin Park content cos I'm collecting their pieces too, before From Zero. I feel alone here in Indonesia, The Emptiness Machine barely reaches top 50 Spotify. Great video, keep it up!

yeah, Mike also was twice on Phoenix MemberGuest Podcast and they talked about that topic. Apart from being at different stages of grief, Mike also talked about how he felt he needed to get back to writing and performing as fast as possible because he was afraid it would get harder and harder the longer he waited.

I think it would be difficult to have done as a group, because they would all have dealt with grief differently at different rates

Thank you so much!
