Guy Time

Julian needed to get away for a little while. He loved his wife, loved being with her, but he needed a little break now and then. He especially needed a friend, some male companionship. When he felt like this, he usually went to visit his best friend Ted, who lived just around the corner. The sun was still up as he walked to his friend's house, and he enjoyed its warmth on his skin.

Naturally, they were close enough that Ted could just walk up and knock on Ted's door unannounced without it being a problem. He did it all the time, and Ted often did the same at Julian's house. Ted's wife Natalie came to the door.

"Oh, hi, Julian. He's in his usual spot." She meant her husband was playing games in his favorite chair.

Julian smiled at her as he walked past and went to greet his buddy.

"Hey, Jules! What's going on, man?"

"Same old shit. Constance is driving me crazy, so I had to get away for a while."

"Sit down, grab a controller. Get you a beer if you want."

"Sure, thanks." Julian walked to the kitchen and got a beer out of the fridge before heading back to the living room and taking a seat on the sofa. He cracked the can and took a sip as he watched his friend shoot bad guys on the big screen. "So, what's going on over here?"

"You're looking at it, man."

"Looks like a good time to me."

"It's not too bad. What was Constance getting on your nerves about?"

"I don't even want to talk about it."

"Fair enough. Wanna play?"

"Sure."

Julian picked up a controller and joined in, his character appearing alongside Ted's, and they started working together to clear the level of enemies. They shot bad guys left and right, quickly making their way across the ruined urban battlefield. One of their shots hit a fuel tank, causing an explosion that sent debris and bodies flying. As soon as the smoke cleared, they ran on.

As they played, Natalie came into the room and walked up to Ted. "Let me check you."

Ted looked embarrassed but didn't look at her. "Not now."

"Excuse me? Yes, now! Right now! Come on, stand up!"

Julian looked at them, confused. "What's going on?"

Neither of them answered him as Ted stood from his seat and Natalie pulled his pants down, Julian's eyes popping open as he saw the diaper on his friend's hips. It was white with one blue tape on each side and had little multi-colored teddy bears and balloons on the front. It looked bulky and saggy, wet.

Still ignoring Julian, Natalie put her hand on the crotch and squeezed it. "Yeah, that's what I thought. Time for a change. Lay down."

"Right here?"

"Yep."

"In front of Julian?!"

Feeling very awkward, Julian tried to excuse himself. "I could, uh . . ."

Natalie practically snapped at him. "Just play your game. It's fine. Now, Ted! Lay down!"

"But I don't want him to see--"

"He's a boy too, now lay down!" The irritation in her voice was obvious, so Ted did as he was told while Natalie got out the supplies she needed.

Julian did his best to focus on the screen and ignore what was happening as his friend's wife untaped his soggy diaper and proceeded to wipe him off like he was a baby. She then had him lift up while she removed the wet diaper and replaced it with a dry one that looked just like it. She sprinkled some powder on him and taped it shut.

Ted motioned towards his pants. "Can I have those back now?"

Natalie glanced at him as she balled up his old diaper. "Fine, whatever."

She carried it out of the room to throw it away, leaving the men to continue their game. They sat in silence for a long moment, Ted too embarrassed to even look at his friend.

Finally, Julian broke the silence. "Dude. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I just didn't want you to see that."

"How long's this been going on?"

"A few days now."

"Is it all the time?"

". . . Yeah. She makes me wear them all the time."

"How?"

Ted sighed while a phone rang in the other room. "She controls all our finances, all our accounts, social media, everything. She changed all the passwords and locked me out of everything. The money's already hers. She took the accounts right out from under my nose and used them to take control of everything else, our lawyer, everything. If I don't play along, if I'm not 'good' like she says, she'll kick me out and leave me with nothing, and I mean NOTHING. She even said she'd get on my Twitter and Facebook accounts and run off all of my friends. She's got me."

"Shit, man. I'm sorry. Do the kids know?"

"That's the worst part. She'll change me right in front of them! She wants them to know who's in charge around here now."

"Yeah, it's a good feeling." They looked up to see Natalie walking back into the room. "Julian, that was Constance on the phone. She said it's been a while since she changed you and asked if I could check you. So, come on, stand up."

Julian looked up at her in shock and then glanced at Ted, his cheeks burning.

"Don't look at him! He's already been changed! Come on, your mommy said you need to be checked, so get moving!"

Reluctantly, Julian obliged her, and she yanked his pants down, revealing a white diaper covered with purple stars, balloons, and other things. Along the top were the same shapes in different colors: a green balloon, a red heart, a yellow star, etc. Natalie squeezed his crotch and decided he was wet enough, so she had him lie down. She then changed him into one of Ted's diapers and put his pants back on him before leaving the room again.

Ted glanced at his friend. "You could've told me when she pulled my pants down, you know!"

"I'm sorry, man. I was just too embarrassed!"

Ted sighed. "I understand. So, Constance took over your accounts too?"

"Yeah. What are we going to do?"

"I don't know. I think we should find a way to warn the other husbands before the whole neighborhood ends up like this, just a bunch of houses with women turning their men into big babies."

"At least we know we're not alone anymore."

"Yeah, I guess that's something."

Julian snorted. "Hey. You think our mommies will let us have a sleepover?"

Ted looked at him for a long moment and finally burst out laughing. It was all just too preposterous.

The End
