Thanks for your lovely support everyone! Here's some behind-the-scenes sketches and comments for the latest Horrortale page.
1. The original draft had Sans' entire face showing.
2. Oddly enough, this was the panel the entire page would be based on. I kept thinking about it as I drew previous pages. But when the moment came, it just didn't fit. Sans seemed too empathetic here, and I preferred leaving their relationship ambiguous.
3. The last panel of the sequence zoomed in on Aliza's arm. Didn't make for a smooth transition to the last panel.
4. The original coloring- the black made it too difficult to tell what's really going on.
5. Sans was more aggressive in this draft. I never intended to use this layout.
6. Another view of Aliza being called to at the end of the comic.
