Another day, another series of photos from my shoot with DRL Photography. This time, I'm sharing bathtub shots so be sure to bring a towel!

As I mentioned in my previous post, Dan and I made the decision early on to utilize either the bathtub or shower during this shoot, but because I didn't want to get wet and then have to dry off for the remainder of the shoot, we decided to save it for the last set-up of the night.
Over the the years, I've seen a lot of photos of male models in bathtubs or submerged in water and it was something I'd always wanted to try myself. I'd participated in a shower shoot during my first experience working with a photographer last year, but I wasn't satisfied with how the photos turned out and for that reason, never shared them. I imagine that shooting in or around water can be tricky and it takes a talented photographer to make it work. Otherwise, you run the risk of going from aesthetically appealing to a wet mess!

The bathtub, although sophisticated looking, wasn't exactly practical and was so deep that it took a while to fill to the point of being able to submerge myself. It was also somewhat difficult to balance on the edge of the bathtub when sitting and even harder to comfortably rest my upper body against the high walls when trying different posing positions. In a few of these photos, you'd (hopefully) never notice that I'm straining trying to hold the pose! It goes to show you, just because it looks good in a photo doesn't mean it works in "real life."

With this being my eighth post on DRL Photography, it's probably beginning to feel like this feature is never going to end but I have exciting news! As of today, I'm officially (and finally) done combing through the more than 500 photos from this shoot and am going to publish the remaining two posts this week to wrap things up.
When all is said and done, there will have been 80 photos shared from this shoot and all of them curated especially for my subscribers on Patreon. Your support means a lot and as always, thank you for coming along on this ride with me!
See below for a ZIP file of all 6 photos if you'd like to download them. I've created 2 separate ZIP files to make the download process a little easier.
