The new frigate of Shara — named the Lustful Orc — cut through the waves in search of adventure. For a month, her crew roamed far waters, finding three islands with villages reduced to smoldering ruins. Each discovery confirmed her suspicion: someone was leaving a trail of slaughter across the seas. And she was determined to hunt them down.

With food and water running low, Shara steered south toward a small island to replenish supplies. But as the Lustful Orc rounded its shores and aimed for the bay, a deafening crack split the air. A barrel beside Shara exploded into splinters.

Cannon fire.
Heavy. Close.

“Return fire, whoever is still breathing!” she roared over the chaos. “And get ready to storm!”
The Lustful Orc’s guns answered with fury. As her helmsman fell dead at her side, Shara seized the wheel, spun it hard, and drove the frigate straight toward the enemy.

When the ships slammed alongside each other, she was the first to leap aboard. Steel clashed, screams rose, the air thick with blood and powder. Shara moved like a storm given form, her axe carving a path through the enemy.

A sudden shove sent her stumbling. She turned just in time to see the shadow of a blade arcing down toward her—

—but it never struck. A massive orc from her crew crashed into her attacker, sending him sprawling. Her savior didn’t slow, tearing into the fray with bone-shaking roars.

An hour later, the deck of the enemy vessel lay littered with bodies. The crew of the Lustful Orc let out a victorious cry as they discovered chests of gold in the hold — proof they had found the raiders responsible for the ruined villages.

They anchored at the island for a day’s rest. While the crew replenished supplies, Shara wandered alone, her boots sinking into warm sand. At a secluded bay, she knelt to wash away the grime of battle. The sun gilded her bare skin, and the tide curled over her body in gentle waves.

She felt the gaze before she heard the footsteps.

“Come out, hero,” she said, not bothering to turn.

From the treeline emerged the same orc who had saved her in the fight. Shara’s lips curved in a slow, dangerous smile. She had debts to repay… and the afternoon was still young.
