Magus Cybernetica character designs
Added 2024-09-04 21:54:59 +0000 UTC
Here are some more characters I'll be using for the comic, so it's not just Winter, Zola, Gun Hag, Tyara and Hope.
First, the corporate police force's emergency response team;
I wanted a team with a very samey design philosophy, in contrast to how they do not work well as a team.
Hope is the most sane. She is the team leader and she's simply trying her best to make this team work.
Kirsty is the team's CQC specialist. She does not shower often enough and she's a total psychopath.
Kayleigh is the team's best marksman. She tells awful jokes and enjoys pissing people off on purpose.
Rodney is the team's sniper. He does not open his mouth except to say the worst thing you've heard all day.
Courtney is the team's tactician. She is a perfectionist, a pessamist and deeply paranoid.
Kenneth is the nickname I'm giving to any extra squad-mates that get sent along with this team. He's fodder.
Now on to the resistance's team of cyberpunks/shadowrunners, whatever you wanna call them.
Also I asked some of my highest-tier supporters if they wanted to influence the designs. If you were subscribed to the highest support tier before I put this post out, chances are I'll probably try to contact you and ask if you want me to include a character for you. You can also contact me first too, I will need more characters, after all.
First, Wu. She's the team's leader. She's stern and tactful. Her team picked her to lead them, though she is reluctant to lead. Often she will cede command over to Gun Hag if they're working for them, operating instead as the team's communications specialist.
Syntactic Sugar informed her design process, at my request.

Second, Emma. She has contacts deep within the rebel faction such as their forgemaster. She's a tech genius and uses her skills to design a line of combat gear and cybernetics, she accompanies the team in order to field-test them. She especially enjoys using the rebel faction's access to gravity magic.
NuraShiny informed her design process, at my request.
Third, Ranjith. He has a rare form of gravity magic that allows him to increase gravity in an area. Emma worked extensively with him and a group of magical focii specialists to make a cybernetic arm that intensifies his power, to the point that he can completely nullify the enemy's air support. He enjoys practicing martial arts in his spare time.
Madame Gwen informed his design process, at my request.
Fourth is Gloria. She is especially mad at the corporations because "the bastards took [her] kids!" She weightlifts as a hobby and as such, can carry enormous ordnance onto the field, which she nicknames her 'babies'. Her favourites are a back-mounted swarm rack and an MK19 grenade launcher.
Kat informed her design process, at my request.
Fifth is Coral. She is the team's stealth operative. Her parents were kidnapped by the corporations for their expertise in genetic engineering and bioware. She herself was treated like one of her parent's test subjects. She boasts extremely high compatibility with cybernetics with reduced downsides, and finds it easier than other people to swap out cybernetics. She is bubbly and energetic, though this can translate to being particularly murdery if she is using heavier cybernetics, such as her snake tail.
Miss_Praxis went even further than others I asked, and even provided sketches and reference of some very colourful snakes. Ser links are here: https://linktr.ee/Miss_Praxis
Lastly is Sofia. She is an escaped lab-rat. Layer 12's genetics division was attempting to create the perfect supersoldier and tested an enhancement package that left her mutated and burned. Furthermore, she was used to test the effects of having obtained elemental magic- her body temperature is hard to regulate, her skin often chars and cracks, though she no longer feels pain from her burns and her body temperature conveniently takes care of her imuuno deficiency. She has a lot of issues but despite all that she's still angry enough that not much could stop her at this point.
I didn't give anyone the offer to influence her design.
I've made this update accessible to the low subscription tier, just so that everyone can take a look at what I have planned, and decide if they want to start supporting the comic.
I'm taking a break from this for a week to finish some commissions and some Zinogre porn for Slime Tamer tier. So this will get updated again at the end of the month with some coloured comic book pages.
See you then, thanks so much for supporting!
