Monster Hunter sketches, Future plans.

Hi everyone, I have another weekly update for you.

I know what projects I want to make to keep time with the release of Monster Hunter Wilds. Also I now have a concrete idea of how I want to go about finishing all of my unfinished projects.

First, what I've been up to this past week.

I drew this Great Maccao scaly to help get an idea for how I'd like to go about making more Monster Hunter.

I posted it to Bluesky, shared it on the Discord server, the general vibe was that most of you want to see more of her. I also asked for ideas.

My favourite ideas were of a hunter losing to her and being degraded/turned into a Maccao inflatable toy.

SO, I'm gonna do a series of 4-panel comics with it, some will be kinky or image sequences and some will be just plain funny (I hope).

Here's some of the development sketches:

Including characters

For those who need to be able to copy the text and translate it:

Jordan Hunkadood

M 29 [uses Dual Blades, Longsword, Insect Glaive and Bow.]

- he smells good

- he's hairy

- he shows up to hunts with hickeys

He likes Rathian (Because she's good to test new weapons and builds on)

He hates Congalala (because it's smelly and he hates being compared to one)

(He's the force-femme bait himbo.)

Sylvia Silva

F (Might change her to non-binary for funsies, who knows.) 30 [uses Sword and Shield, Hunting Horn, Charge Blade, Light Bowgun and Lance.]

-she's the brains of the team

-she keeps everyone focused

-she's the kinkiest team member

She likes Monoblos (because they think it's a realistic, cool, grounded, interesting monster)

She hates Magnamalo (because she saw the intro for it in Rise and cringed)

(She's the cool nerd in charge.)

Nina Rose

E (non-binary) (because I felt like it) 23 [uses Greatsword, Hammer, Gunlance, Switchaxe and Heavy Bowgun]

- they support trans wrongs

- they're funny, they hold the team together

- they skipped bottom surgery because they like having a massive cock

They like Namielle (because it has RGB gamer lights and they're a gamer)

They hate Plesioth (because they think it's bland)

(They're the group's clown, but also the group's heavy hitter.)

A style guide, building off my work on the Genshin comics with some more refined shapes that will work better with the level of detail I'm aiming at.

Lastly, current progress on what the first panel will look like.

Which hunter are you?

- Dodging just within the monster's hitbox so you get hit with the full damage.

- Caught healing/mis-timed a heal and got punted by the monster.

- Ate the monster's entire attack because you got too cocky.

Comment below XD

All of this does, ultimately, end up on the back burner for a bit, because I finally know what I'm going to do with my other unfinished projects.

Monster Hunter comic with the Nargacuga hunter that goes to a village where the people are fish:

Originally I had planned to make this a full length comic, but people started unsubbing in huge numbers, probably from a combination of me having left previous projects unfinished and general disinterest.

I want to finish this with some 4-panel comics, probably over the course of about 2-3 months. Complete with a suiting sequence and latex drone lineup.

The Genshin Impact AU comic:

I originally dropped this project because to tell the truth, I stopped playing. I've gradually lost all interest in anime media and this specific gacha game killed my interest for good. Working on something I had no passion for almost made me quit art and go work in a factory.

So I think I want to reboot that series. The ideas were really good and some of you have reached out to tell me what your favourite part was. It also just feels bad leaving it unfinished.

I'm going to alter the character designs, put my own monster ideas in there and just make sure it's not Genshin anymore. The storyline will stay the same and you'll all get to see how I would have ended it, but this time on my terms.

I'm still hazy on the granular details but I'm going to make the overall setting Brazil-inspired. This way I can keep most of the game's areas (that I remember (and liked) from when I was actually playing the game) and the things I liked about them, whilst replacing aspects I don't like by grabbing bits from games I do enjoy, such as Caves of Qud or Slime Rancher or Rain World.

I'm open to being contacted freely regarding what I've discussed in this post, via comments below or in my DMs or on Discord.

Thanks for sticking with me, see you all soon with the exclusive and more Zola comic.
