Some sneak peeks for V0.2!

Hoi hoiiii♥ We've been hard at work with (yet another) AI rework for the girl(s!!!) that's now ready for next patch! Their pathfinding is now a lot more intelligent, and free-roaming, which was necessitated by a couple things you can read about below!

But first, I really wanted to up the general polish of the game, so I've included a mockup of what the new, cleaner pause menu looks like:

Glass and I have had Just About Enough of having to redo things, so we're determined to redo the UI this time around and have it be coherent and polished enough to see the game through to a completed state! We also realized we both kinda suck at putting info like 'what items do' and 'controls' anywhere, so now that's all in the game too.

You'll also get a little non-intrusive pop-up on the side of your screen when buying things like the crowbar, blacklight, and other tools so that there's no guesswork as to what to do and where to use em.

Then there's the new arrival! Meet Charlie:

I'm having soooo much fun animating her so far. I tried to get a responsible, mature feel through Frankie's animations that hopefully lends to her feeling somewhat in-charge or maybe even a bit motherly - but Charlie's a whole different beast, and I'm excited to flex with her a bit!!! Big bouncy!! Happee!!!

We're also introducing a brand new mechanic that I've hinted at a little in our itchio comments for the eagle-eyes out there who keep up to date with that stuff!! I'll leave it to Glass to reveal more closer to the time of release, but for now, I'll just say that it's looking quite smashing.

The level is of course growing and two (and a bit) new sections will open up with Charlie's arrival! A new lockpicking mechanic is also coming, since Glass and I are both huge fans of the safe's 3D dial UI component, and we want to include some more of those since they're so fun!

Closer to this patch's release I'm actually going to be showcasing something I've been working on 👁️ it's a trailer! We REEAALLLYY wanna hype up the girls coming into this game one by one, so I'm going all out and working hard to bring you something cute to drum up interest and match the energy Charlie's gonna bring!
