2026-01-09 19:12:12 +0000 UTCthose 3 concepts would be something so complex no one has ever managed to comprehend them normally, I'd be willing to bet that rare is harder than composite Also Beast might be unique to beasts even at the god level which would explain why the Sixiang are considered one of the top factions, Moirai's top gods would have 1 more concept than anyone else thanks to them being able to have 2 rare affinities while Sixiang have a unique affinity that no one else can comprehend and I'd imagine its harder to combat a concept you haven't comprehended. If so that makes the fusion even more important because that gives Percy the chance to comprehend an affinity he'd normally never be able to comprehend even if he eventually figures out how to comprehend rare affinities. Also Percy did resolve himself to not just settle for godhood so he's prob gonna work on ascending with more not less affinities, prob gonna try to get as many rare affinities as he can too

2026-01-08 11:23:50 +0000 UTCso even more reason for him to eventually go with the trifecta of life, mind and soul if the third core ends up being a pure mana red core like I suspect, and of course if there are rare mana affinity treasures that work on pure cores. It honesty seems that it would be easier to reach divinity with a rare affinity as opposed to a composite affinity. For Percy with the trifecta he’d only need to master 3 concepts rather than 5 or 6 if he chose composite affinities for his other cores. Also it definitely seems that he’s going to have to split of from Micky permanently or be at the risk of having to master like 12 concepts including a beast concept to reach divinity the right way…

Doesn’t that mean he can get to the peak of elemental acquisition pretty darn fast? No one else can do what he does and experience other elemental cores. That also goes for the rare affinities that are “impossible” to get. It not only is possible for him, but when he realizes this it’s just a matter of time.

2026-01-07 10:57:18 +0000 UTCAbout pure core, if Percy still thinks of replacing that it would be idiotic. First, he has more accomplishments than others who just conjure staffs. Then, it is mist unexplored affinity besides beast one I guess. And it is free of affinity influence so you are close to essence of magic, essence of mana. What is mana, this question has chance of be answered by pure core. Also it is ridiculously unexplored and unused, only conjuring hard things that is function of metal or earth and affinities, why not conjure liquid? Or do something else altogether? Even elemental conversion can be integrated into spells and you have excellent versatility. Why noone is researching what is pure mana's core behaviours or traits and why is everyone conjuring hard things like monkeys? I think pure mana spells can be most cool if it is developed. Like affecting other's mana, like mana burn or something like that. Or fighting mana-based entities if they exist like spirits or pure elementals. Conversion spells exist right? Why not convert it to rare mana and do exotic stuff? Like gravity mana or space mana. I know it's inefficient and can't be cast in combat but it's still very useful. And those three of four element composites, can't they be converted from pure mana? I know mortal core can't produce it directly but who says you can't convert it outside and use it? And make enchantments with it. It is treasure trove of unexplored mysteries and conveniences, and Percy has lots of affinities now, he doesn't need metal or something, that's just boring.

2026-01-07 09:35:08 +0000 UTCPretty sure he moves them just through the soul channels. Similar to how he uses phantom mana in pure/soul channels. He can switch the properties how mana moves, the same principle as turning phantom mana visible/invisible.

2026-01-07 09:25:55 +0000 UTCPhoebe mentioned that having more than 2 basic affinities in a core was impossible, but is it possible to have mana channels with more than 2 affinities ? Wasnt Percy close to doing that with his Ice Soul mana spell. That would open a world of possibilities.

Theoretically couldn't Percy make clones for each of the basic affinities, take them from yellow or green to godhood, reabsorb them, and instantly skip elemental acquisition while the main body already completes/ finishes self discovery?

Now I can also see the advantages the lone wanderer gets in the future when he advances with soul, ice, beast and whatever he transforms pure mana affinity into later on. But only if he can comprehend a concept/concepts that works with all the affinities he has access to. Multiple cores boost the mana density and the size of the internal world, multiple rare affinities at ascension allows a greater growth ceiling for a god. Void decree if acquired and fixed by the Moirai decree already present would in total boost Percy so much that while his path to Divinity from clear would be a lot longer, but in the end he is going to end up super overpowered.

Only one can rule it. As of now, we have no inclinaisom toward the latter. So why is the text seemingly implying only the first to reach 100% yield will get it.
