Here it is! The third and final chapter in my somewhat unexpected Animal Crossing trilogy!

I had a blast making this song and video. When I first looked into Animal Crossing for a song there were three characters that intrigued me for the topics for songs. I settled on Tom Nook as the most 'iconic' of the three (plus Redd wasn't even in the game yet at that point!) but after that song did so astronomically well I decided it might be fun to break tradition a bit and do a few songs in quick succession so I could cover all of the characters I was interested in.
I knew from the outset that if I were to do 3 songs on the same game so close together that to compensate I'd need to make each of those songs as unique as possible. Nook with his slow, menacing monologue, Blathers with his up-beat and positive pop vibe and finally Redd with a hard and speedy rap number to coincide with his fast talking salesman persona.

Throughout this year's lockdown my housemate and I found ourselves sucked into the world of old TV commercials. We spent many evenings watching huge compilations of old TV ads from the 70s and 80s in big compilations on YouTube, often captured from old, poor quality VHS tapes and often whilst playing Animal Crossing as we watched.

So that was the genesis of the idea for this video. Redd being the sleazy salesman he is... What if he had his own commercial?

I hope you've all enjoyed this extended jaunt through Animal Crossing but now it's on to new things! I have my next 3 songs all planned, and I'm excited to get back to doing new things and sharing them with you!
