I'd been talking with Bonecage for a long time about a collaboration but we'd never been able to settle on exactly what to make. He has this fantastic ability to craft some of the most wonderfully loony music out there and as soon as Bossa Studios dropped the first gameplay trailer for Surgeon Simulator 2, complete with a synth fuelled punk rock soundtrack, we knew we'd found the perfect candidate!
I was doing my best to channel my inner Weird Al on this one, along with a healthy dose of the B52s, whilst the video was very much inspired by Dire Straits 'Money For Nothing' and late 80s/early 90s MTV. Fast paced, frantic and full of as many random colours and effects as I could throw at it! It was quite cathartic after the very subtle, reserved video for 'Rest Employed' I made just a few weeks previously!
...Also it was an excuse to finally get a new electric guitar after my old one was destroyed years ago in a rather unfortunate plumbing accident!
