Will I one day run out of business terminology to do clever flips and puns with? Certainly. But I'm not there yet!
Originally I went into this track with a slightly different concept in mind, that of corporate espionage and subterfuge, a theme prevalent in the Corpo storyline of the game. But as I wrote I realised I didn't really have anything to SAY about it. It just wasn't working for me. That's when the idea of corporate data farming and privacy came to me. It's also there in the game but not so front and centre, but I realised it really interested me as a theme for a song.
Fun fact! The bridge of the song is written entirely using a list of data points already gathered (and sold) by Facebook! Check your privacy settings, folks!
And it goes without saying that Cami-Cat absolutely killed this chorus. It's one of my favourites I've written and she knocked it clean out of the park!

This is the first of your songs I heard and I was really impressed by it, so that I was particularly receptive to listening to more. Then Slide Into The Void brought me to Patreon. <3 Glorious ominous magnificence. Oh, and it's just a *delight* that the corporation I'm currently helping to build has a name which was spoken in the lyrics in here in a subtle but resonant way~ Not intentionally, of course, you wouldn't have heard about it.
