Normally I write a big long description for these, about my thoughts and process. But I've taken so long getting around to uploading this and I have SO little time that I figure you'd rather just have the MP3 and settle for the SparkNotes version!
I always loved this track but it was, at the time, a massively ambitious project for someone with very little musical experience. I'd never attempted such big harmonies or layers before and I really think it showed. The original is one of the few tracks I genuinely struggle to go back and listen to. Not because it's bad, per se, but because I knew I could do it so much better now.
So with needing some time out for this long, protracted move this track was the perfect candidate for a revisit! I'm really happy with how this new version feels, much fuller and impactful. Oxygen did a great job reworking Eskelater's original composition. I hope you all enjoyed it too!
As always, happy to answer any questions in the comments if you have 'em!
