"Look I know I said I'd upload these songs just after the video but I had to grab a bap on the M25."
I had a blast making this song and video but in truth, the whole project was born of convenience. I had all my content planned ahead to cover my time out I needed to move house but the whole process took WAY longer and I needed something I could make to cover the gap in my plans.
I was sat in my kitchen, surrounded by boxes, flanked by decorators working on the house and racking my brains trying to think of something to make that I could do whilst also juggling everything else. What can I make that doesn't need me to build a fancy set, do loads of VFX post production or assemble a complex costume?
Having just released Fragments to only limited success over on YT, after a chat with my partner manager about how the video performed we determined that videos that don't feature me at all risk underperforming as my appearance in the video is something people expect from the channel. So I couldn't risk making another gameplay only video so soon. I needed to make a live action music video! But WHAT?
Honestly I felt so, SO stupid when I realised I was literally already surrounded by the perfect pre-made set for a House Flipper video. Because by that point I'd spent 2 days either staring blankly at a laptop or writing half-songs for games I'd then realise were too ambitious or deserved better videos than I could make in a few weeks.
So that's how we ended up here! I usually spend weeks or months pre-planning and preparing my content so rarely does a project like this, one made very much spontaneously, some around. But I actually think that ended up helping, it was really fun to make. (Even if I ended up being incredibly ill when filming half of it)
Sorry again for my delay in posting this! Patreon is gonna be getting a lot more attention going forward and I've got some cool stuff on the way just for you guys!
