The North Pole Corporate Takeover - MP3!

It's that time of year again!

I know I swore off xmas content for a while and honestly, I had no plans to make any this year. This project actually happened due to a muddle of scheduling!

Fun fact! Did you know that the set for Santa's office wasn't built for this video? This set was built for another project entirely. A large, grand office for a very different character which was going to be filmed in November.

These days, with production costs getting higher and higher, I try my best to think of efficient ways to creatively re-use the sets we build, so the keen eyed amongst you may have started to see certain things re-appearing between videos.

Well the grand office set we were building was a big, expensive build and I wanted to be sure I had another use for it once we were done, but we also had another big set to build in the new year so we knew we had to re-use it fast before it had to be taken down.

Big, grand office? November/December? Making it into Santa's office was the obvious choice!

As it happened, we hit a production delay on the project this set was originally planned for and weren't able to film it in November. So we flipped the plan on its head and instead of converting that set into Santa's office once we were done, we built Santa's office and will be converting it into something else in January!
Expect to see this office again with a new coat of paint, new furniture and a very different song!

Fun bonus note, while not the biggest set we've ever built, at over 4 meters it is by far the tallest, reaching all the way to the ceiling of our studio space, allowing us to create the appearance of an impossibly tall room without us ever having to worry about building or digitally adding a ceiling.

It's been a good while since I've flexed the corporate pen for a spot of bureaucro-hop. In truth, I make a point of pacing myself with it these days. I know it's a thing I've become somewhat known for and whilst I love doing it, there's an ever decreasing pool of corporate buzzwords to make puns out of and I don't want to risk getting repetitive.

All that being said, the idea of Santa being ousted by a troupe of callous executives was too enticing to not throw myself at. The festive angle gave me a lot more room to play with the business-bars, and writing the corporate Christmas jokes was a lot of fun.

I apologise to anyone mentally scarred by the lyrical use of 'Skibidi Rizz', but it had to be done in the name of art.

Considering the very tight time frame we had for this project I'm thrilled with how well it all came together. Sleepless nights aside, it was a lot of fun to work on, and I've wanted for a long time to experiment with making larger projects not directly tied to an existing IP. It's not something I plan to do regularly, but it's something I'd like to continue exploring in future!

We hope you all enjoyed this project and more importantly, I hope you all have a wonderful festive season! I have a lot of exciting stuff lined up for the new year and I can't wait to share it with you all!

Merry Christmas!

Ahh I see what you did to my name in the line up lol. Nice touch.

Candy Kane

Another really creative banger full of fun references and genius lyrical wordplay which I always love hearing in your music! This and Lights on a Truck are really unique songs as they aren't tied to any larger IP and Im happy to hear this is something that your looking into and possibly making more of potentially going forward (obviously I still love the nerdcore video game related bops but the original stuff is really cool and would love to hear more!)

Charlie Coad

It hasn't even been a week, let alone a few days since release and we're getting all these treats. Hell ye

The Laughing Burger

this song is so good i cannot get it out of my head (tbh not complaining)

Belle

(That said, the song is another amazing accomplishment, Bravo!)

"I apologise to anyone mentally scarred by the lyrical use of 'Skibidi Rizz', but it had to be done in the name of art. " I feel like that might be directed at someone who may or may not have had their soul die on camera during a reaction to this line, and a few gags before it... 😅
