This was the start of the Shawn Michaels/Triple H feud. It lasted on & off from 2002-2005 until they reunited as DX (for real) in 2006. Of course they were best friends in real life during their feud, but their falling out happened while Shawn was still injured & he came to a RAW show in 2001 super messed up & he & Triple H got into a real screaming match in front of everyone backstage behind the scenes. That was one of the catalysts of Shawn finally getting clean & sober, finding religion & untimely getting healthy & cleared to return to the ring in 2002. From this match to the WWE in ring debut of Rey Mysterio against Kurt Angle, and Brock Lesner vs The Rock WWE Title Match. An Unsanctioned Match is an anything goes match where a win and a loss don't count against either wrestlers win/loss record. So no matter who wins this match type or loses, it doesn't matter. This match in story can only end by a pin or submission. This match started a 2 and a half year feud between Shawn Michaels & Triple H, starting with this match in August 2002 and ending in June 2004 in side Hell In A Cell. Triple H sadly ended up winning this feud overall after hitting Shawn with 3 pedigrees after an almost hour long Hell In a Cell Match. Were about to have another one of these matches at WWE Elimination Chamber between Sami Zane and Kevin Owens. :o.
