2025-04-27 19:18:45 +0000 UTCSmackdown was an awesome show, from Cena / Orton feud re-visited for one last time, TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championship, to Zelina Vega winning WWE US Women's Title, to Alistair Black (Malakai Black AEW) returning to WWE KOing Miz. :) Miz getting KO'd by the "Black Mass" kick, kinda reminded me of when Alistair debuted in AEW in 2021 doing that same spot to Cody Rhodes as he did to Miz, even the suits were the same color :o I'm liking the new "heel" John Cena but still feels weird at the same time. Watch in Orton vs Cena feud from the past, Randy Orton was always the heel and Cena was the babyface. If you notice closely when Cena called out the kid at ringside giving him the finger, Orton broke character abit trying not to laugh at that line. Who will win the match remains to be seen, tho. Be cool to see Orton win title #15 but if he wins, what does John Cena do for the reminder of his last run before retirement? Does he just continue as "heel" Cena with out the belt and just feud with random wrestlers till the dates run to 0, or does Cena lose and goes home "forever" early? or does Cena's reign of terror continue til SummerSlam or end of year and lose it back to Cody Rhodes? Suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens with that. :) TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championship was an awesome match and was a shame that WWE didn't see this match as WrestleMania worthy and New Day vs War Raiders was... Maybe they didn't think of the idea til the day of WrestleMania Saturday or Sunday. :/ Hard to believe that is been 25 years since TLC 1 at SummerSlam 2000 and TLC 2 at WM X-7 2001 between The Hardy's, Dudley's, Edge & Christian. Remember watching those 2 matches when the VHS tapes of those 2 events were released when I was a kid :) If it wasn't for the Dudley Boys, Hardy Boys and Edge and Christian, would Tables, Ladders & Chairs ever have been involved with tag team wrestling? Kind of always wondered that. Seeing Zelina Vega winning the US Championship for her first solo title was an awesome moment and well deserved. Here being emotional made me wonder if she even knew she was going to win it til Triple H sent thru the curtain. Hope Triple H will let her keep it for a while. :) With the US championship contender match ending with Damian Priest interference; does Jacob Fatu defend the US Championship in a 4 way match at Backlash? Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight, vs Drew vs Priest? or do we get LA Knight vs Jacob and we get Drew vs Priest in a steel cage or some thing? Perhaps we'll get those answers next week :)

2025-04-27 19:15:03 +0000 UTC17 also isn't even the actual number to beat, it's just the number of reigns WWE acknowledges. if they want to get down to the nitty gritty they'd have to top Ric Flair's 21 world title reigns but they'd have to wait years for that story and John Cena is retiring now so....

2025-04-27 15:40:58 +0000 UTCJohn Cena’s promo on this show makes no sense considering his 17 titles aren’t all just the WWE championship. He and many others have also vacated the title before, so him being the last real champion really just means nothing.
