Now i might not like Hulk Hogan as a person, but it doesn't change the fact that changed the landscape of wrestling in the 80s, then changed the landscape of wrestling in the 90's again when he turned heel and created the NWO. Love him or hate him, regardless of his backstage politicking, wrestling might not what it would be today without him.

2025-07-27 16:33:32 +0000 UTCI started watching wrestling in 1983, and was completely captivated by the Von Erich Brothers and by Hulk Hogan. In Boston, the WWE (WWF back then) would come to town every month. I got my father to take me to see Hulk Hogan four times, against Randy Savage, Sika (Roman Reigns' dad), Kamala, and Killer Kahn. In 2005 as an adult, a friend of mine got tickets for Summerslam, and we went. It featured the famous Eddie vs Rey Mysterio ladder match for Dominic, and had a main event of Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels. To this day, when things are going against me and I need to turn things around, I tell the people I am with it is time to do a Hulk Hogan and will shake my arms and pretend to Hulk up. Everyone knows what I am talking about. RIP Hulk
