Good question! I would say the biggest thing is to make a marketing game plan. These days, the most powerful way to promote your song is a combination of consistent content along side some solid paid advertising on Meta/Instagram. Ideally, you wanna be posting several times to get maximum exposure. Most people just do an “out Friday” post and then an “out now” post. But you can promote a song for weeks or months after it’s out! Then, creating a targeted ad on Instagram / meta can really help boost streams. If you post 2-4 reels, boost whichever has the best performance and invest whatever you can afford into the ad per day and run it for a few weeks or more. Maximize for website visits and put your streaming link as the action button. This will convert ad people to new Spotify listeners / followers!
