“Green Light” builds off of the original demo version of the game. It allows a Player to begin establishing their entertainment empire by introducing new Funds and Prestige resources that represent serious money and reputation respectively. The game now offers:
48+ Map Locations to explore
16 Movie Projects to complete
50+ NPCs to interact with
Hundreds of events and many decisions to make
New video, trophies and Player achievements
New hidden logic implemented to guide events for enhanced player experience
The Cassiel Autograph issue has been resolved in this release.
In this expansion, Tinsel Town opens up for you like a Venus Fly Trap. You now have the scope to claw your way up to the edge of respectability. You can earn enough money, power and prestige to begin attracting more mainstream projects. After tracking down possible leads on talent, scripts and partnerships, you can begin putting together some deals and start producing lucrative projects. While still a bit player, your studio can start to get some runs on the board and begin interacting with increasingly bigger players. You’ll be able to begin recruiting help— free lance initially, but later you can start building out the Management Team you’ll need in order to produce bigger scale pictures.
As always, there’s a dark side to Tinsel Town as well to explore. You’ll meet like minds in your pursuit of success, as well as learn about ways to keep your plans on track. You’ll need then all as you play with the fates of the actresses you cast and put under contract to perform in your productions. As a fringe studio, you’re still limited in the talent you can attract but there’s always someone looking for their next break! And then there are the benefits that only the Head of a Studio can truly experience.
Finally, there’s the ever closer working relationship you’ll cultivate with Kimberly Mitchell. She’s talented, attractive and knows the business but she’s also fiercely independent. How you manage this relationship will also determine how successful you’ll ultimately be in the never ending struggle for fame and fortune in Tinsel Town.
While you can drop in an existing save from a previous version, I STRONGLY advise you to make a clean start. The intro has been reworked and so your save might not work properly.
On a final note, due to changes in the policies of the service I’ve been using for voiceover, I’ve stopped adding audio content for now. On the plus side, you’ll find lots more video and image-based content generated through AI that should provide even more immersion and continuity for the player experience.
Once any initial issues have been identified and handled, the Mac version will be dropped.
As usual, once any issues are identified, I’ll cascade to supporters, starting at the Directors+ level all through to Executive Level over the follow 2-3 months.
