Bad News Again...

Azul here. Come to give you, some bad news.

Our coder Wattson has left due to personal life troubles.

The good news is that we have a coder to replace him.

The other bad news is we're going to be behind because of this.

The new coder is being updated on how everything works and being updated. This time however, we're going to have him completely finish the engine before any new content is added in. This way everything's in and even if he has to go and we have to replace, there will only be updating and familiarizing the new coder with the system and how everything works, so they can begin pumping in content as soon as they're onboard.

This was something I wanted to do when first moving over to renpy, but there was so much that had to change because of the engine change there wasn't much reason not to throw out some content as we do so. Now that everything is just ready to be put in, we're going to have the new guy purely focus on finishing the engine as stated before.

Unfortunately, this news was spring upon us suddenly even after the update did to the last post. I've requested the new coder do the same as planned since we couldn't get a build out. Give us pics and maybe videos of it coming together and finishing, then we can move out with content. 

Somethings will be changing, like the look and feel of the renpy version to match more in lines of the html version. It's something he wants to do and we are fine with. The story will remain mostly the same as it is now to correlate with the fight changes, but now that everything's done, there will be more of a focus on how things used to be. Back to the exploring feel that the game used to be like.

Just in case any saves are botched we will be having a skip to chapter 3, and if people just want to skip the tutorial and just immediately go back to the open world of it all. Along with this, we're also hoping to have it working on browsers again so the newgrounds version can be updated, along with just playing it online just in case you can't download it. This does also mean we're still planning on having it work with phones as well. More updates later.
