Hey guys! I’ve been a bit quiet since the last update but I’ve been really busy working on some not very fun things! There was a lot of boring but important stuff to catch up on (licenses, paperwork… blah) which I didn’t get a chance to do until now. Then I spent most of last week trying out the Quest and ran into a lot of issues, but I finally got a version of Unreal that works perfectly. It looks like it'll need to be a completely separate version as there’s a lot of adjustments and optimisations needed to get it working on Android.
I’m working on the first build of the main game and will continue working on the Quest version in the background. The main things I’m planning to get done are:
These are the priorities but there will be some smaller additions and improvements which I’ll update on as I go. I’ll also begin experimenting with morph and texture imports to see what’s possible. I’m aiming to get this out for $10 Patrons in the next 1 to 2 months, hopefully a bit sooner if I can.
Oh, and I just replaced my Vive with an Index so when I get time I’ll see if I can implement finger tracking!
