Hey everyone! I've made great progress with the Quest version this week and managed to fix the skinning issues that were in the original demo. Here's an updated build with the following changes:
- NEW: 31 body and face morphs!
- NEW: 14 items of clothing including some sexy stockings and latex body suit!
- NEW: Hair colour can now be edited.
- FIXED: Head is now easier to grab.
- FIXED: Added a small thumbstick deadzone to prevent drifting movements.
- Changed the package name to "CH Quest" so you don't need to worry about people seeing "Captain Hardcore" in your library.
This is a big step forward and I'm planning to gradually get more features ported over to the Quest. Also, Oculus have now released Quest hand tracking support for Unreal Engine, so I'm looking into that. Hopefully we will have hand tracking in the future (not promising yet, there's a few issues to sort out first!).

This requires a PC with Sidequest and Oculus drivers installed to load onto your Quest.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Use one of the above links to download the Captain Hardcore Quest v0.2 APK.zip file.
2) If you haven't sideloaded before, please follow these steps to install Sidequest on your PC: https://sidequestvr.com/#/setup-howto
3) Once Sidequest is set up and connected to your Quest extract the apk from the zip you downloaded, then use the "Install Apk file from folder" option, or just drag it into SideQuest. Check the current tasks in SideQuest and you will see it installing, it can take a couple of minutes.
4) "CH Quest" will then appear under "Unknown sources" in your library! You might need to close and re-open the library for it to appear.

FIXED: Ok, finally got this working. for some reason when I would drop the .apk folder into sidequest it would not transfer to the quest. what i had to to do that seemed to get it to work was open the apk folder and highlight the 2 files in the folder and then drag them to sidequest. very strange. but very stoked that its finally working properly! hi, just downloaded and transferred it to the quest via sidequest and it will not show up in my unknown sources. ive tried multiple times and every time in sidequest it says that it was extracted successfully but it just wont show up on the quest. ive downloaded all of the versions at the top of this page that you have available for download and ive performed the transfers multiple times.... and yes i have closed and re opened the library multiple times. ive even restarted the quest twice as well.... is it too much to ask for shit to just work how its supposed to?... thats not meant to be directed at the developer. more just a statement of frustration

2020-08-19 09:35:13 +0000 UTCWell it turns out my PC was fine but my lag was due to the stutter bug for Oculus VR devices. The new version fixed it. The only little lag I have now is because I have an I3 which is not the best for vr. I am unable to access it right now but from what I remember it had a GTX 1650 and 8GB ram. Unfortunately its pre-built so I have practically no options when it comes to upgrading its parts. Thank you for the response!

2020-07-28 10:00:05 +0000 UTCI got it last night and Sidequest didn't moan at all, it just sat on "checking blacklist" for a long time and then went in no trouble. It's totally fixed. And amazing work. I really hope you're not right about torrents. Is there no way to fuck that up? I actually thought that's why it sat on "checking blacklist" for such a while, that it was checking it was legit. This is why we can't have nice things. @AntiZero - is there any ETA on 0.3?

As you know, Oculus Quest users can now choose to see the real world (in black & white) instead of a virtual home environment when in the headset’s menu or web browser. Do you think it is possible to see models in this environnement ? I already tried just by getting close to the guardian and I could see my body and that of the model. The experience is incredible. I think this experience is better than hand tracking !!! Thanks and bye !!!
