This Hungry Hungry Silly Boy

A good way to start Spooktober is to finally draw some characters I wanted to draw for this occasion for a long time, even though it's not that much spooky.

There's one obscure arcade game called just Rabbit which features a bit generic roster of fighters who use animal spirits companions as a part of battle mechanics. One of them caught fandom's attention a bit with his vore attack. This spirit called just Wolf also stands out among others with his wacky character design probably inspired by American animation and needless to say he felt like a very nice boyfriend material for me.

Of course there's not much I can do with a character who is nothing but just a sprite in a fighting game, there's no personality traits, no particular inspiring stories, scenes or game lore elements that could be used for some more elaborate ideas but I really wanted to do at least some simple pin-ups to pay tribute to such a nice character.

And as you can see, despite vore is a straight up taboo for me, I decided to swallow my pride and draw it for the sake of authenticity since it's such an integral part of the character's individuality. Wasn't too bad to be honest because the semi-violent emotional connection between prey and pred characters is what disturbs me the most in vore art even though having somebody alive inside doesn't appeal to me either so it felt easier to draw with a silly character like this.

I keep practicing more light shading and trying to get rid of the habit to do overly dark shadows formed by years of pencil work and I think I'm succeeding at this, really loving the way my art looks now! I'm still having problems with making it very light yet still tangible looking, mainly because my understanding of realism is quite imperfect but it's already way better. I love the smooth creases where his fingers press into his belly especially, I'd never be able to render such details so smoothly and lightly in pencil.

Honestly, I didn't expect to make so many alts for such a simple artwork but I did, just as usual. Besides simple vore edit and dickless version I did because I thought Wolf has this sfw inflation character vibe and somebody would appreciate it, I also did some classic stuff with hair, gases and even a bit of filthmonster edits. I plan to draw him more but I might get distracted by other Halloween ideas and Spooktober commissions so I can't promise for sure but considering how little time this one took the second art can happen. It felt very relieving to do something simple and less effortful after such complex, detailed and time consuming sequences.
