October 2025 summary

It was a pretty good month I'd say, not the one to complain about my productivity at least. 5 artworks is not a grand achievement for sure but, considering the quality and the fact I have few more works in a more or less finished state that were started this October, it feels like a good month, not to mention how much this month shined with a much different feel of my new art style which I still keep exploring and experimenting with.

As I already mentioned in one of my previous posts, this Spooktober was a bit different from others as this time I got fixated on drawing the same characters instead of trying to make it as varied as possible with one artwork per character. I don't know, I just couldn't get enough of this Wolf Spirit guy first and then this Big Bad Wolf from The Fairy Tales.

As a result, I gave attention only to three characters and none of this month pieces felt too obviously Halloween, I mean there's no pumpkins, no mist engulfed graveyards, no sexy guys in monster costumes doing trick or treating etc. Well, I guess everybody have their own mission each Spooktober, somebody draws another sexy werewolf, somebody draws another art of characters with pumpkins painted on their butts or bellies and somebody just draws horror characters nobody cares about except for Halloween. The only really Halloweenish piece was started way too late and got finished only today.

So, let's summarize what was done this month:

1. A couple of artworks with Wolf Spirit from an obscure fighting game Rabbit released for Arcade machines and Sega Saturn, a guy I wanted to draw for Halloween for a long time. These were pretty nice classic belly focused pieces with a decent amount of alts and a good successful attempt for me to try very light and smooth shading without making shadows too dark which was my common bad habit due to working with graphite for years that I'm trying to cure myself from. Also it was funny to try making vore alt for the first picture just for the sake of canon, not that it turned me on but it was fun at least.

2. A big pin-up with characters from Chip & Dale 2 NES game made between these two pieces, another one that was in my list for years, sketched in 2024 but colored only this month. It was a good tribute to my childhood nostalgia, especially considering the fact nobody but me would ever draw these characters, and a very serious shading practice as it's very different from how I was usually drawing things. As I already said, all the darkness, fire and glowing effects is something I'd never be able to do in pencil so it's probably only for good that this idea was getting shelved for so many years. The only unfortunate thing is that it was more of an artsy piece for me rather than a jerk off art so I did zero special edits for this one but sometimes you just have to do something like this.

3. And then the Wolf. Inspired by my friend's commission request I finally decided to watch some analog horror stuff and got quite fascinated by this Wolf guy. I decided to draw something more classic with him before starting this commission art which idea deviated from original canon and so I made a pin-up which left me very satisfied. It's not the first time I'm using my own photos as a reference to nail the anatomy, perspective and lighting properly but this time it felt really special. The second work was obviously way more kinky and, again, it left me quite satisfied, especially the feet part and gladly this one had a good amount of alts.

So, it was a nice Halloween season in general. Nothing over the top since there's no way for me to celebrate it for real and I never can find time to watch a big movie but at least I managed to watch several analog horror series little by little while having my breakfast and lunch including The Fairy Tales, Walten Files, Dog Nightmares, Obelisk and The Painter. And even though I never have time to watch a movie, I at least enjoyed playing a marathon of classic horrors I already saw as a background for working, such as The Blob, Slither, Eraser Head, From Beyond, The Fly, Videodrome and The Thing. It was a good way to set the right mood.

Another notable thing to mention is that all this Spooktober urgency left me no time for pixel art. Maybe it's something else, idk, but, after my pixel art obsession being almost unstoppable in summer it was downright overshadowing my regular art, I felt so rushed to do as many Halloween art as possible I couldn't do even something as simple as publicly posting things I already did and shared here in summer. And for now I'm still feeling rushed to do comms and unleash some of my horny ideas instead of doing pixel art, I hope I get back to it eventually when things are less busy.

In the end, October left me with a plenty of unfinished stuff that I have to take care of in November, also I was too focused on personal art with the only commission being done in the very end of the month while I still have two planned spooky commissions which I very much don't want to ignore. So, despite I can't wait already to do some other long planned things and my head is often visited by dirty thoughts about Legoshi, Louis, Lycaon, Volk and Tex Avery Wolf (which I really want to draw again as it's been a while) besides all the ideas with more obscure characters I'm constantly obsessed with, I guess November will be busy with stuff I didn't have time to do in October, we will see.

Also, this month was a noticeable downfall in terms of Patreon earnings with a lot of people unsubscribing, despite all my efforts to be focused and productive I made 20% less compared to September earnings and after some extra expenses I feel a bit worried about my financial condition so I'll probably have to do some sprite work for Dawmino's indie game again as it's the easiest way to make some really quick cash for me now. I don't know what's wrong, maybe people cut their luxuries due to Halloween expenses and now thinking about Christmas already, maybe it's the fact I was drawing mainly very niche and creepy characters and not many people are really into "scarousing" things but whatever the case is it was underwhelming to roll back to April levels. So, it's gonna be a busy month for me, I suppose, and it's hard to tell what exactly will be done in November but I'll try to do my best.

P. S. I forgot to mention it in a previous month summary but two months ago I hit three round numbers at the same time on Furaffinity. 2000 watchers (at the very very long last, finally), 100 000 artwork views total and 50 000 favs. I feel sorry that I didn't make any creative "Thank you for 2000 followers!" picture similar to what other artists usually do for such occasions, I guess I'm just not that sentimental or maybe it just doesn't feel like a really major milestone to celebrate it loudly, just a little nice achievement. I see some fresh new artists like Lotolotl reaching the same heights I was struggling to reach for 5 years in just one year with much less effort and not gonna lie I can't help but feel a pang of jealousy but this is the sacrifice I'm paying for bringing happiness to people by drawing obscure niche characters nobody cares about instead of steadily making my way to the popufur realm by stamping one artwork with Legoshi, Nick Wilde, Mr Wolf and other endlessly hyping characters after another, all I can do is be accepting about it and try looking at the good sides, like the fact that my hard way still allows me to gather more people around and keep myself if not rich but staying afloat at least. I hope I'll find the balance between popular and unpopular stuff in my art, after all, I always keep telling that I have a pretty big weakness for many popular characters that can be exploited and it would be nice to draw at least one such artwork per month but it's just difficult for me considering I barely manage to do 4-5 artworks each month and at least one of them is a comm. Maybe one day.

Comments

Thank you so much for your sincere words! It's always really reassuring to receive supporting comments like this, especially from you, it's always sweet to read such elaborate responses. Yeah, people often say I'm actually doing a big work compared to many other artists and I think they are right but my workoholism just keeps rushing me haha. And yeah, it's very common for me to use my photos for references, about 40% of my artworks use them as it's often hard to find photos with exact pose, angle and lighting for my ideas and drawing from head often ends with more primitive results, serious works always need serious approach to models. You're right, making progress as an artist is often about using wise tricks like engaging with popular folks or drawing popular characters etc. and usually I'm just ignoring these methods and going my own harder way, knowing this helps to be more accepting about my situation. It's a slow progress but at least it's there, the monthly statistics I'm monitoring here are still encouraging to watch. And yeah, the recent things Trump does to American economy are terrible, I get some news every once in a while and I can easily believe that it affects my subscribers too, it just was such a sudden drop after escalation going steady until September while Trump-caused problems are happening for more than a year already so I didn't make this connection. But I guess it's related indeed and hopefully we overcome it. As for my commission prices, I don't have detailed commission price lists as I'm too lazy to calculate everything and prefer to stick with a fixed price of $100 for a single piece, the number of characters, background complexity and amount of alts don't really matter. Sometimes I think I should be more elaborate about prices but for now I'm fine with the way it is.

4-5 artworks per month is quite a lot honestly, you are pretty prolific and especially with all the alts you manage! Some pretty fun pin ups, the ghost and Mr Wolf were really fantastic (Of course I'm cock biased, but you always make them so wonderful looking, a bit exciting you used a personal photo for the wolf pin up, you have done some quite nice ones on that lustpit account) It can be frustrating seeing other artists take off. It is discouraging, but it isn't always a mark of skill or catering to what's popular, sometimes it's a matter of who they know and who are boosting their work. Your numbers are still very impressive and worth celebrating, congratulations on the milestones! Am sure more milestones will come as you keep posting your work, it all has a snowball effect as more people find your stuff to enjoy. The drop in subscribers is unfortunate, the economy in the US has taken a turn for the worse with the rising cost of tariffs, groceries, and other things, so more folks have been cutting back on their spending elsewhere. A lot of patreons and similar subscription services have seen drops, so it isn't just you or what you're making. I was kind of curious though if you had commission prices listed somewhere? ANyway I am glad to hear it was an overall solid month for you. Sounds like you have a lot of ideas in the queue, will look forward to what you make, take care!
