Too late for Christmas and would be too late even for New Year if I decide to post it only with all the alts finished so I have no way but publish just the main version for now and promise to deal with all the alts later.
I don't know what got on me but it was insanely hard to start this work to the point it just got absurd. I mean, hello, December is already over and all I did this month is one Von Lycaon piece. And it's not much about holiday season fuss, I don't have much mood to celebrate anyway, nobody to spend the time or make gifts for, so there's nothing to blame but myself being stuck in another vicious cycle of procrastination.
For some reason I was intimidated to just start this drawing, maybe partially because I was afraid of that difficult contre-jour lighting (when light source is behind the objects) which I never did before but it can't be just that because once I finally started shading it the process went pretty smooth and fast and I finished what you see in the last three days. Maybe it's a result of a burn out caused by all the recent stress, idk but I hate it when it happens, especially when I have deadlines to meet.
This artwork was planned to be done for Christmas but as you can see the delay went far beyond that. After finishing this very successful weight gain sequence with Leroy the Redneck Reindeer done one year ago I already knew what I wanna draw next year for Christmas. All this year I was cherishing this dream to draw some classic hyper dick pin-up with Leroy with some belly and beer and I really didn't want to miss this chance, especially since I haven't done anything else for Christmas this time.
Just to remind you, Leroy the Redneck Reindeer is a character from an old goofy Christmas themed 90s music video by the same name, you can see the video here:

He didn't make any other appearances anywhere and was created just for this silly song, very obscure character and it's a real miracle he got even few artworks besides my own. But idk, I just love deer too much, especially if it's a redneck burping deer with a beer belly, so drawing him just once wasn't enough for me.
One thing I loved especially about this music video is that Leroy appears in a real life setting Roger Rabbit style, I'm a big fan of such stuff and wanted to play around it in an artwork. The contrast is obviously less striking since I'm applying realistic shading to 2D characters but still it feels like I nailed the vibe of the music video.
As I said, the alts will be done later and I'm making a post just because I want to publish this artwork before New Year at least, I'm feeling eager to cover Leroy in lots of manly hair and also add some sexy burps, farts and dick cheese. Initial fear of difficult shading is left behind already, the most stressful part of the process is over and I feel my productivity coming back in general so the alts should go easy without taking much time.
Also, despite all this long silence, I wasn't wasting the month COMPLETELY in vain, again I tried to procrastinate productively by going back to my NES projects and I did quite a lot of new stuff, I'll make another post very soon after I upload Leroy artwork everywhere.
Big apologies for a very underwhelming lacking month, I felt like shit in December and survived only thanks to the help from several friends, hopefully it's gonna change in January. Hope you had great holidays and hope that year 2026 will be better for all of us.
