Lestat can freeze time, we see him do it jn episode 1or maybe 2, he freezes time at the card game, asks Louis why he puts up with being mistreated by humans and swaps Louis' cards with another guys so Louis wins

2024-10-20 07:50:19 +0000 UTCso recap s1, Louis saves Claudia, lestat turns her, happy family years, Claudia kills her first bf, Family dysfunction, Claudia runs away for 7 years, during those years, lestat and louis have a rough point in their romance. Claudia also meets Bruce, he assaults her & like we find out in this ep, he kept her for a while longer than we thought. The reason for this is because Louis ripped the pages from her diary, so we never knew what happened. Claudia returns home, louis & lestat have a physical fight. Lestat is kicked out, Louis heals, Claudia helps, Lestat grovels for 3 years before louis takes him back, more family dysfunction then Claudia plans to kill Lestat, Antonette Lestat's lover is revealed as a vamp but Claudia being smart knew and Antonette is killed and Lestat left in a box.

2024-10-18 06:48:44 +0000 UTCClaudia was using what she learned about Bruce from him assaulting her (he did it multiple times and kept her hidden) in the story with their fake maker. The Great Laws say that if a vampire kills their maker, writes down their history, shows themselves to a human and let's them live or turns a child they are sentenced to death like the vampire from the beginning of the episode. So it's ddangerous if the Paris coven finds out they tried to kill Lestat

They did the interview, but then Louis attacked him (we hear that in season 1 when they listen to the old tapes) and that was that. Oh and concerning the vampire rules here, they can enter homes without being invited in and staking doesn't kill them. Fire, sunlight and dead blood does.

They lied because they saw the portrait of Lestat on the wall, so she picked the only other vampire she knew to claim as their maker, as she says all the best lies have some truth in them. So she is describing what Bruce looks like to Louis so they can get their stories straight...Also, Claudia is a 40 year old woman at this point and is sick of being treated like a child. She thought being in the coven would give her a sense of independence and adulthood but instead she has to play a child character on stage

2024-10-16 17:19:20 +0000 UTCTo clarify some of the rules of these vampires that we've seen so far: fire, sunlight, decapitation, starvation, and drinking dead blood are the only ways to kill them. They don't have to be invited in (although that would be a fun feature to play with!), other stuff like garlic and Christianity do not bother them (beyond the overall aversion to food and organized religion lol) Also, in regards to the vampire mind thing. They can read anyone's mind if they want too (unless they're maker-fledgeling), but a lot of them either choose not to or just don't dig that deep. And communicating via mind is slightly different to just reading it. So yes it is possible for the vampires to have separate lines in their heads to talk to certain people lol Also some vampires are very good at keeping their minds closed. For example, if Louis or Claudia WERE trying to get into any members of the coven minds when they were talking during the performance, I doubt they'd be able to pick up anything, considering the difference in experience and strength. I think you guys got it by the end but Maitre is French for "master" and what the coven calls its leaders. Armand is the coven leader, therefore Armand is maitre for the coven. Benji was right, Claudia's elaboration on what happened to her was a reveal for the audience. We knew she was assaulted by Bruce but her pages on it were ripped out by Louis and so we, the audience, never heard the details until she told him later on. Super fucked up and depressing and it makes the things Lestat said to her about it when he refused to let her leave even worse imo.
