This isn't even the beach... (pinup)

"Anywhere is swimsuit weather if you want it to be, hun."

For this drawing, I kinda left more construction lines in the finished product than usual. I have been somewhat characterized by my messier style in recent years, but frankly, I enjoy it when I see it in art. I don't go out of my way to ADD more sketchy lines to a drawing, as I find that to feel a little pretentious. But "not erasing" them as you progress in a drawing has a totally different and more natural appeal, at least for me.

I think it helps to remind people that someone made this. If you follow the construction lines, you can see what someone was thinking and how they were planning on shaping the figure or the scene. It's more important now when everyone is wondering just what is and isn't being made by humans, now.

Does she... need help... with her sunscreen? Sunlight reflected of off snow can be very intense

I love seeing "construction lines" because I like seeing the variation in how people draw figures. Nobody does it the same way!

Reminds me of Lackadaisy, where even though it's a finished animation, they left in some of the earlier sketch lines on the figures so you can see it's real hand-drawn animation. It gives it an interesting nuance I wasn't expecting.

Honestly, she has a point. Plus, she's free to flaunt it if she wants.

Death of Ink

You know what, that's okay!
