Hello my babies 🩵🫶🏻 I’ve finally risen from the dead of my studio after finishing this💀👏🏻 It had so many sets (Jungkook’s dad’s office, Taehyung’s room, the boys’ hangout, and the junkyard), and now I’m blind with colors 🫠. I actually loved drawing the junkyard—it’s eerie and creepy, but also lonely. It’s hard to describe in words, so I let the drawing speak for itself 🤭🩵
Anyway, let’s talk about this!
It’s been a while since I drew Jungkook crashing out , and it broke my heart. This is the first time he truly opens up about the pressures he’s feeling—the pressures to satisfy Taehyung, but also to impress his father.
Jungkook is overwhelmed. He’s trying so hard to be everything for everyone, but it’s wearing him down. He also feels guilty, thinking he’s failing Taehyung and disappointing him.
As artists, we’re deeply sensitive about our work. Throughout school, Jungkook never gave his absolute best in art, fearing that if he did, he’d hear, “Is that all you’ve got?”—shattering any belief that he might actually be good at it. To protect himself, he held back, afraid of judgment. But this time, for the first time, he poured everything into his art portfolio , hoping to at least make it to the second round. When he didn’t, it crushed his confidence, making him feel like a failure in every aspect of his life.
Now, Their conversation isn’t over. Taehyung just wants to get Jungkook home as quickly as possible. Keep in mind, Jungkook hasn’t slept well in weeks because of his project and nightmares, so his feelings are heightened. Plus, he’s drunk. At first, I thought the scene should be more intense, where Jungkook might hurt Taehyung unintentionally. But I feel Jungkook’s growth has made him aware enough that he wouldn’t do that—even if he’s drunk, he’s learning from past mistakes when he hurt Taehyung before.
Please share your thoughts, can’t wait to read them !🫶🏻
