A handful of gifs showcasing some grid-based simulaturn gameplay. It's definitely a departure from what you've seen before, so I'm curious what your thoughts are.
One big issue at the moment and one that really stumps me is the obstruction problem, namely that the camera gets easily obstructed by terrain and other junk. This is really bad because it makes it nigh impossible to make concave terrain. My current solution, one which you can see in the climbing gif, is to fade things out as they get close to the camera, but this isn't ideal and doesn't work very well with terrain.
